I love my alma mater

NEW YORK TIMES--Vanderbilt's chancellor, Gordon Gee, stood on a chair amid the celebration of a comeback victory at Wake Forest on Sept. 1 and gazed down at a changed team. "I must say that I could see in their eyes that they felt like they had crossed a Rubicon," Gee said in a telephone interview. By beating Mississippi on Sept. 17 and Richmond on Sept. 24, Vanderbilt is 4-0 for the first time since 1984. And what must make Gee most proud is that the players in his program can define “Rubicon.”

Apparently it's only been since 1984 that Vandy was 4-0...still, that's EONS in football time. It's not like they've had a winning season to make us feel better about that anyways.

On an entirely different note, it smelled like Band-Aids on Route 2 this morning. Odd.

I love Rubicon. But I can't ever get all the yellow squares on the same side!
